Universe 2.0

Explore and understand our Universe, a goal shared by scientists and artists, even if their paths of exploration are very different. It seemed to us that the discovery of gravitational waves, announced in 2016, which opens the exploration of the gravitational Universe, was the perfect opportunity to confront the methods of scientists and artists. This is how the idea of Universe 2.0 was born (Universe 1.0 being the one observed with our sensitive light detectors, our eyes, with Galileo telescope, or our powerful instruments): a joint exploration of this gravitational Universe, a confrontation of the approaches between a team of artists from a wide range of backgrounds and a team of specialists in gravitation and cosmology. A two-year adventure, supported by the funding of  the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation.
