Physics of the Universe Endowment Fund (RFPU)

Welcome!

The physics of the Universe is the foundation of a universal scientific culture. Through its concepts that question the common sense, it stimulates exchanges, discussions and reflections.

Our team at the Endowment Fund RFPU is deeply convinced that, despite its extreme complexity, the physics of the Universe is accessible to everyone and its wide dissemination contributes to the development of the  society of knowledge.

Our mission:

  • to share scientific knowledge with the general public, especially with young people,
  • to promote access to science and research for students from disadvantaged backgrounds,
  • to foster exchanges between science and the arts.

Our history:

The Endowment Fund was established in 2010 with the arrival of George Smoot, Nobel Price laureate in Physics 2006, in Paris to support the activities of the Paris Centre for Cosmological Physics, today Cosmos, sciences and societies, established at the Univeristy Paris Diderot. However, its actions have a much wider reach.

Here you can download our presentation pamphlet (in French).
